The Lengthsman is employed by the Parish Council to maintain the highways excluding trunk roads and A roads contained within the Parish.

The lenghtsman’s job includes verge cutting, hedge & fence management, drainage, ensuring that all traffic signs are visible, minor storm damage and litter clearance. If anyone has any problems to report in the Parish they should contact the Clerk by email at clerk@uptonbishop.gov.uk and the details will be passed onto the Lengthsman or Herefordshire Council.
