Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world.  A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook and sometimes a pen or pencil. The geocacher signs the log and dates it, in order to prove that they found the cache. After signing the log, the cache must be placed back exactly where the person found it.There are geocaches in Upton Bishop but have you found them yet.  To take part in Geocaching you will need to register on the Geocaching website.  There is no charge for this.

Church Micro

Phocle Point

The hider of this geocache has left this clue:  “You are looking for a cliplock box. Big enough for small swaps and TBs. This cache is to celebrate my new job at a nearby company that is named after something you get if you go geocaching in the winter, well actually in this country most of the year really. I pass this layby every day and I thought it would be a good place to place a cache because it has a fantastic view of May Hill.
